But recently they started sticking ads in the first email spot, which is extremely annoying! They want you to buy a subscription to remove the ads. Sorry, not gonna do that just for an email app. So I've gone back to the basic Samsung email app, which is working fine for me. Good job Microsoft, you drove me away from your product! I've used this for years with much success and no ads. Now suddenly Microsoft is inserting ads. These ads are based on things within your correspondence.
They did not ask me if they could read my mail. They just do it. Also the ads don't always appear immediately. Over the past 10 days I've tried to open a message only to have an ad pop into the place where my message was, causing me to touch the ad, and I open an ad that I'm SOOO not interested in. This is incredibly aggravating! Constant ads starting Aug 22 Ok, so Microsoft wants to generate revenue with ads. That's fine, except you can't remove them for a time. As soon as you delete an ad from your inbox view, it pops up again the next time you open your Outlook app. This ad isn't even on the side or out of the way: it appears the first email in you inbox.
I might go back to my old email client if this becomes too annoying.
